Please note that this is intended as a FREE recipe for home use for South African pet rat owners and breeders as a cost effective and healthy diet. There is also a bulk option which may be used by rescues or breeders with several lines and rats.

Due to import costs and the weakened Rand, imported mixes are very expensive and several commercial mixes, of poor quality. By using locally sourced ingredients of good quality, our rats can be fed a healthy diet at a fraction of the cost.

I buy most of my ingredients from Airport Pets.

Note that Rat Angels Rodent Rescue, Oliver's Burrow and Mischief Pet Products make similar mixes which they sell online.

Feed 10g of grain mix per rat in the morning and 10-12g of fresh food per rat in the afternoon / evening.
